[Help] laptop for my daughter starting secondary school, budget around £400

She starts in September and the school's asked for “a laptop or Chromebook”. Budget is about £400. She'll use it for homework, Google Docs, a bit of YouTube and probably Minecraft if I'm honest.

Chromebook or a cheap Windows one? I'm an electrician, not an IT person, and every review site seems to be selling something. Pros and cons appreciated.
