are reusable cups actually better? asking as a barista who washes 200 a day

Every day people hand me their reusable cups and every day I rinse them in hot water before filling them. Not complaining, I like it. But it made me wonder whether it actually adds up versus a paper cup.

Anyone seen a proper breakdown? Bonus points for one that isn't from a cup company.
