Singapore Hungry Ghost month: small tips for visitors

Now still the seventh lunar month here, Hungry Ghost month. If you visit Singapore or Malaysia now, some simple tips:

Don't step on the offerings or ash on the roadside. Don't sit in the front row seats at getai shows, those are for the spirits. Older people will tell you don't swim at night or whistle. You don't have to believe, just respect lah.
