Anyone flown to Gamescom from far away? Worth it?

Gamescom just had 368,000 visitors and the floor sold out for the first time. Next year is 23 to 29 August 2027. I'm retired, I've got time, and my wife says I talk about it enough that I should just go.

For anyone who's been: how many days do you need? Is it all queues? And as a Canadian, is it a reasonable trip or am I better off watching streams at home with a coffee?
