Finally, science is on my side: the weekend lie-in

I've always felt mildly guilty about sleeping in on Saturdays, so the post about the Korean study made my week. About 40,000 adults followed over seven years, and catching up on sleep at the weekend was linked to 6% lower odds of high blood pressure, with the sweet spot around one to two extra hours.

The caveats matter, though. More than four extra hours seemed to backfire, and an outside expert pointed out it hasn't been peer reviewed yet. So I'm reading it as permission for a modest lie-in, not a reason to sleep until lunch.

How long do you usually sleep in, if at all?
