The pitch clock was the best thing to happen to baseball in my lifetime
I've followed baseball for thirty years and I was firmly in the "don't touch the sacred game" camp. I was wrong. Games are tighter, there's less dead time, stolen bases are back, and I can watch a full game on a weeknight without falling asleep in the seventh.
The purists said it would ruin the strategy. If anything, it's made each pitch feel more consequential. Curious whether other sports could learn from it, cricket's over rate and football's time-wasting come to mind.
