$1,999 for Apple's first foldable. Is anyone actually buying this?

Apple shows up years after Samsung, Motorola and Google, charges $1,999, and says it “will redefine the experience of using a foldable phone”. I'm skeptical.

Forrester said foldables are still a minuscule share of the market. The pitch seems to be work apps like Zoom and Slack. Who's this for, exactly? Genuine question, not just grumbling. Mostly grumbling.
