Is announcing Diablo 5 for 2029 smart, or just setting up disappointment?
BlizzCon is back after three years, and the headline is Diablo 5 in spring 2029 plus a StarCraft shooter in 2030. Diablo 4 gets no more expansions but keeps seasons and an Amazon class next year.
I can see the logic. Fans have something to look forward to, and the teaser line was great. But three years is a long time, and dates that far out tend to move. Does it help or hurt to know this early? I'm genuinely on the fence.
