Sweden election: the numbers in one place

Left bloc 176 seats, outgoing side 173, in the 349-seat Riksdag. Kristersson resigned on September 17.

Social Democrats about 28%: first place, but their worst result in over a century per AFP. Moderates 19.9%. Sweden Democrats 17.6%, down from 20.6% in 2022, first drop since entering parliament in 2010.

Note: election night preliminary results showed only a one-seat edge. Final split three seats. Close enough that every small party matters for the new government.
