Typhoon Dujuan cuts the first five-day Tokyo Game Show to four, with 257,642 visitors
The Tokyo Game Show cancelled its fifth and final day, Monday 21 September, as Typhoon Dujuan approached, cutting what was billed as the first five-day show in its 30-year history back to four days at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. South Korea's Inven Global reported that the typhoon, known in Japan as Typhoon No. 25, was forecast to bring gusts of up to 50 metres per second to the Kanto region, and that tickets for 21 September would be fully refunded.
PC Gamer said organisers expected strong winds, rain and transport disruption. It added that the storm was forecast to bring almost 16 inches of rain to Kanto, that regional flights and some train lines were being suspended, and that there was no word yet on how exhibitors who paid for the final day would be treated.

Final Weapon reported in-person attendance of 257,642 over the four days, with the busiest day on Saturday 19 September at 78,678. That is slightly below the 263,101 who came over four days in 2025.

- Final Weapon — the day-by-day crowds and the comparison with last year.
What we don't know yet: organisers had not said how exhibitors who rented space for the cancelled day would be compensated.
