The Naga film winning at TIFF made my week

Angh by Theja Rio won the Platform Award, filmed mostly in Konyak, about the last surviving chief of a Nagaland village. It's his debut and it was the only Indian film in the Platform competition, per The Week.

The interesting nerd detail: under a new rule the prize gives it a direct route to Oscar eligibility, even though India's official entry is the Marathi film Gondhal. So India might effectively have two films in the conversation. That's never really happened like this before as far as I know.
