Banning a far-right march: right call, or does it backfire?

Genuine question, not trying to start a fight. The Hague banned the 'Wij zijn het volk' march after violence broke out. Ministers called for hard action, the PM said demonstrators sought confrontation.

I'm a free speech person by instinct, but I also think fireworks at police and Nazi salutes cross the line clearly. Where do you all draw it? Ban the march, or let it happen and prosecute individuals?
