VAR has turned goal celebrations into a hostage situation

My team scores. I jump. I spill my drink. I hug a stranger at the bar. Then everyone stops and looks at the screen like a jury, because somebody's armpit might have been offside four passes ago.

Two minutes later, goal given. But the moment is gone. I'm just standing there, damp, in a stranger's arms, clapping politely like it's a golf putt.

I get that the decisions are more accurate now (are they though?). But I miss celebrating like an idiot without checking a lawyer first.

Does anyone actually still celebrate straight away, or do you all do the half-celebration now?
