Kindle or Kobo? Want to read more and doomscroll less

New goal for autumn: read actual books on the bus instead of scrolling. Thinking of getting an e-reader.

Library ebooks matter to me (I'm skint, I'm a barista). I've heard Kobo is better for that in the UK? Anyone using one?
