I've tracked my personal inflation in a spreadsheet for 10 years

Retired, so I have time. Since 2016 I've recorded the price of the same 40 items every month: bread, milk, coffee, train ticket, haircut, and so on.

My personal index is up noticeably more than the official one over the period, mainly because I spend more on food and services and almost nothing on electronics, which get cheaper. Official numbers are an average household. Nobody is an average household.
