In my time we had no aircon and we survived (but it was not this hot)

My grandchildren laugh at me because I say this every summer. In the 70s in Manila we had only electric fan, banig mat, and a basin of water. We survived.

But I will be honest. Now I am 70 and I feel the nights do not cool down like before. In the old days by 3am you needed a blanket. Now no. Maybe it is the city, more concrete, more cars. Maybe it is the climate. Maybe it is my old body.

So now I have aircon in the bedroom. Don't tell my younger self haha.
