Did a subscriptions audit. Found nine I'd forgotten about

Accountant by day, which makes this extra embarrassing.

Went through twelve months of bank and card statements line by line on a rainy Saturday. Found: two streaming services I'd signed up to for one show each, a cloud storage plan duplicating one I already pay for, a language app (I did 4 days of Portuguese in March), a meditation app, a 'premium' tier of a weather app, a magazine, a fitness app, and a recipe site.

None of them were big on their own. Together it was a genuinely silly annual number.

My method, for anyone who wants it: export the statements, sort by merchant, highlight anything recurring, then for each one ask 'did I use this in the last 30 days?' If no, cancel today. You can always re-subscribe. They will very happily take you back.
