Is it weird to plan a whole trip around buildings?
I'm an apprentice mechanic and my mates think I'm strange because I want to go to Europe purely to look at buildings. Not beaches, not clubs. Bridges, train stations, old factories, cathedrals.
Like I want to see how the old stone vaults actually hold up. I want to see a Gothic cathedral and figure out how the flying buttresses work. Is that a normal thing people do?
And if you've done it, where should a first architecture trip go? Budget is apprentice wages so not fancy.
