PSA: how I see movies in theaters without going broke

tickets are expensive, I'm a researcher, do the math. things that actually work for me:

1) cheap-ticket weekday — most chains have one discount day, find yours. 2) theater loyalty programs, they're free and the points add up faster than you think. 3) matinees. nobody is there, it's great. 4) eat before. the snack counter is where your wallet goes to die.
