Legacy of Kain returns twice in one month: a Defiance remaster, then the new 2D Ascendance
The Legacy of Kain series closes March with its first new entry in over two decades. Video Games Chronicle listed Legacy of Kain: Ascendance for 31 March on PS5, describing it in Crystal Dynamics' words as a 2D retro action platformer. The month began with Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered, a remaster of the 2003 game that lets players switch between remastered and original graphics, which VGC dated to 3 March on PS5, Xbox and PC.
India's Outlook Respawn gave both games wider platform lists: Defiance Remastered on 3 March for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC, and Ascendance on 31 March for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, Switch and PC. Spain's Generación Xbox listed Defiance Remastered for Xbox Series and Xbox One, and Ascendance on 31 March.
