BTS announce a 79-show world tour from Goyang in April, their first since the 2022 break

BTS have announced their first world tour since the group said it would take a break in 2022. Billboard Canada reports that the tour, announced on Tuesday, January 13, has 79 concerts in 34 regions and starts on April 9 in Goyang, South Korea. The group's fifth album, with 14 tracks, comes out first, on March 20.

After Goyang, the tour goes to Tokyo and then to the United States, where the first shows are in Tampa, Florida, on April 25 and 26. Billboard Canada says the North American leg ends with four shows in Los Angeles in September, and that 2027 dates include Australia, Hong Kong and the Philippines.

Soompi reports that the dates were posted at midnight KST on January 14 and that BIGHIT MUSIC said further tour stops have yet to be announced. Vice lists the cities, including Busan, London, Paris, São Paulo, Bangkok, Singapore and Jakarta, and says more 2027 dates, including Japan and the Middle East, will follow.

“It's the K-Pop icons' first tour since announcing a hiatus in 2022.” — Vice

How each outlet framed it

  • Billboard Canada — the full scale, the album date and the two Toronto shows on August 22 and 23.
  • Vice — the comeback after the hiatus, with the complete city list and ticket deadlines.
  • Soompi — the three opening nights in Goyang on April 9, 11 and 12.
  • Rolling Stone India — the Asian stops, from Kaohsiung to Manila; its list includes no date in India.

What we don't know yet: the album had no title when the tour was announced, and the Japanese and Middle Eastern dates for 2027 have not been set. General ticket sales open on January 24.
