Do you go to the cinema alone? Is it weird?

My children are grown and my husband sleeps in every film after 20 minutes. So more and more I go alone, on a Tuesday evening. Honestly I love it. I choose the seat, the film, nobody talks.

But my colleagues think it is a bit sad. Is it a cultural thing? In which country is it normal? Do you do it?
