the ice is thinner also, not only less. this part worry me more

Everybody talk about the record tie, 14.29 million km2. But NASA say the ice is thinner this year, especially Barents Sea.

Thin ice melt more fast in summer no? So maybe the number in March look ok but the real problem come later. Correct me if I am wrong.
