Tier list: famous landmarks by how much they disappoint in person
Light one for a Sunday. My personal ranking after many years of conferences and tourism.
S tier (better than photos): Iguazu Falls, the Alhambra, Angkor Wat at sunrise.
C tier (fine, but): the Mona Lisa. It is small and behind glass and you see it over 200 phones.
F tier: Manneken Pis in Brussels. I walked 20 minutes for a statue the size of a bottle of wine. The Little Mermaid in Copenhagen is close behind.
To be fair, maybe the problem is my expectations, not the landmark. But I would like to see your lists.
