Spring allergy season: a few tips from behind the pharmacy counter
This is the time of year when half my customers come in with red eyes asking if they have a cold. Usually they don't. A few general things I tell people (general info, your own doctor or pharmacist knows your case better):
Start antihistamines before the worst weeks if you know your season, not after. Shower and change clothes when you get home so you don't sleep with pollen in your hair. Keep windows closed in the early morning when counts tend to be higher. And if the nasal spray says use for a few days only, believe it.
What's the worst season where you live?
