Is Nordic noir still the best crime TV, or have we just stopped trying?
I grew up with The Killing and The Bridge, and for a while it felt like every country was trying to copy that grey, quiet, sad-detective-in-a-nice-sweater style.
Lately I find crime shows have split. Either they are very glossy true-crime documentaries, or very long twisty series that need eight episodes to say what The Bridge said in four. I miss the patience and the weather.
Am I just nostalgic? Which crime shows from your country do you think are as good, or better? I am happy to be told Sweden is not the centre of the universe.
