share your first arcade game memory (for david rosen)

I read the news that David Rosen, Sega co-founder, died at 95. I did not know before that he started by bringing American coin-op machines to Japan in the 1950s.

My first arcade memory is a small game center near the station in my hometown. I was maybe 8. Very loud, smoke smell, and I lost all my coins in 5 minutes. But I was so happy. I think many people in Japan have a memory like this, and it started with people like him.

What is your first arcade memory? Please share, I want to read them.
