PSA: the fridge door is the worst place for your milk
Doctor, not a food scientist, but I have opened enough break-room fridges to have opinions.
The door is the warmest part of the fridge because it gets opened forty times a day. Milk, eggs and leftovers want the back of a middle shelf. The door is for condiments, which are basically preserved in salt, sugar and vinegar and will outlive us all.
Also: the crisper drawers exist. Use one for veg and one for fruit, because some fruit (apples, bananas) speeds up everything around it. Your sad bag of spinach did not die of natural causes.
You're welcome. Now go throw out that jar of something from 2023.
