My extremely advanced budgeting system (it's a notebook and a pen)

Everyone keeps recommending apps that link to your bank, categorise everything with AI and send you a sad notification when you buy a sausage roll.

My system: a £2 notebook. Every evening I write down what I spent. That's it. Writing it by hand is so annoying that I spend less just to avoid the writing. Genius, I know.

After three months I know exactly where my money goes (mostly lunch, if you were wondering). No subscription, no data sold to anyone. Bus drivers have long breaks, I've got time to write.
