PSA: trades apprenticeships are hiring and nobody my age is applying

electrician here, 3rd year. every shop i know is begging for apprentices. you get paid while you learn, no student loans.

how i got in: called local shops directly, asked if they take helpers. did that for 2 months, got hired, then the union program took me the next intake.

its not easy work, you will be in attics in july. but the pay goes up every year and people always need power.

if anyone is thinking about it ask me stuff
