Korean delivery apps: so convenient they're quietly emptying my wallet

In Korea you can get anything delivered at almost any hour. Fried chicken at 1am? Of course. A single coffee? Sure, plus a delivery fee that's sometimes almost the price of the coffee.

I work in logistics, so I know how much it costs to move small things around a city. It's not cheap, and someone pays. Usually it's the rider, the restaurant and me, in some combination.

Restaurants also tell me the app commission is painful, so menu prices on the app are higher than in the shop. I've started picking up myself when I can. Anyone else doing the same, or am I just getting old?
