A mechanic's view on a SpaceX–Tesla merger: what about the cars?

I read the GONOM post about SpaceX and Tesla discussing a combination. Musk calls it a good idea, both companies set up committees of independent directors, and shareholders would have to approve.

I fix cars. A few of my customers drive Teslas. None of them care about rockets. They care about parts availability, repair costs and service waiting times, which are already long here.

The article mentions SpaceX's AI revenue and Starlink subscribers. Fine, but if the combined company focuses more on space and AI, does the car side get less attention? Or am I thinking about it too simply? I'm honestly asking.
