What's a cheap hobby that actually stuck for you?

I've cycled through a lot of hobbies that required a starter kit costing more than my rent. Most of that gear is now in a closet judging me.

So I'm curious about the opposite: something cheap or free you picked up and are still doing a year later. Walking, library books, sketching, whatever. What stuck, and why do you think it did?
