Fantasy leagues are making me root against my own team

I joined a fantasy football league at work to be social. Big mistake.

Last weekend my real team was defending a lead and I caught myself hoping the opposing striker would score, because he's my captain. I felt like a traitor in my own living room.

Does anyone else get this? How do you keep it fun without it changing how you watch? I'm half-tempted to just never pick players from my club's rivals, or from my club at all, to stay sane.
