El Niño declared. Calm down a bit before the 'super El Niño' headlines?

NOAA says El Niño conditions are here, 63% chance of a very strong event by Nov–Jan. Japan declared a day earlier.

But Australia's BoM uses a stricter 0.8C threshold and is only saying 'approaching'. I'm not saying it's nothing, I'm saying the 'super' talk might be a few months early. Happy to be told I'm wrong.
