BTS mark their 13th anniversary in Busan: 110,000 fans, a new song and an hour-long delay
BTS celebrated the 13th anniversary of their debut with two Arirang world tour concerts at Busan's Asiad Main Stadium on June 12 and 13, drawing about 110,000 fans, reported SBS Star. Busan is the hometown of Jimin and Jungkook, and the city hosted the group's 2022 “Yet To Come” concert, their last before military service.
Kyunghyang Shinmun said the shows were streamed on Weverse and screened live in more than 80 countries on the 13th, while a city-wide event added a drone show over Gwangandaegyo Bridge and a light show at the Busan Cinema Center. Suga noted it had been about three years and eight months since their last Busan concert.

GMA Network recalled the debut single “No More Dream” on June 12, 2013, and reported that BTS released “Come Over”, produced by Suga, on the anniversary. SBS Star said the group also unveiled a Korean version of “Normal” from their fifth album, and quoted Jin: “Seeing our ARMY enjoying this with us is the greatest birthday gift for us.” It also reported that the June 12 concert started more than an hour late because of entry delays, that HYBE apologised, and that some fans had no public transport home.
How each outlet framed it
- Kyunghyang Shinmun (Korea) — a homecoming after military service, with the city's festival plans.
- GMA Network (Philippines) — the anniversary history and the new song.
- SBS Star (Korea) — crowd figures, the members' words and the logistics problems.
What we don't know yet: SBS Star said 1.08 million people had seen the tour in two months, with the European leg starting at the end of June; final tour totals were not yet available.
