The hosepipe is out and so is my patience

Retired, so I have nowhere to be, and still this heat has me cross. The garden is crisp, the cat lies flat on the tiles like a rug, and the neighbour's lawn is mysteriously green. I have questions.

Anyway. How is everyone coping? Please tell me someone has found a way to sleep.
