Will the four-day work week ever be normal, or is it just a nice headline?

I drive a city bus in Osaka. Our shifts are already a puzzle, so whenever I read about offices trying a four-day week I think: great for you, but who drives the bus on day five?!

Still, I like the idea! Less commuting, more time with family, and some companies say people get the same work done. I just wonder if it only works for jobs on a laptop.

Does anyone here actually work four days? How does your company make it work? And for shift workers like me, what would the version for us even look like?
