How do you get kids reading in the summer holidays without a fight?

My two are 8 and 11. During school they read because teacher says so. In holidays the screens win every time. I tried rewards (stickers, then money, then pizza) and it work for one week then stop.

I don't want reading to feel like punishment. What actually work for your family? Library programs? Audiobooks? Comics? I am open to everything, I read a lot as a child and I want them to have that.

Bonus question: how do you choose books for an 11 year old who thinks everything is 'for babies'?
