student budget tier list (as ranked by a broke music student)

Semester's over so here's my scientific ranking of what actually eats a uni student's money in Melbourne:

S tier money drain: rent. Obviously. It's not even close.
A tier: guitar strings. I go through them like nobody's business
B tier: coffee before 9am lectures
C tier: textbooks, because I just don't buy them
Surprise entry: public transport card top-ups, sneaky expensive

Most efficient money-maker: busking on a Saturday. Average is decent if the weather holds, terrible if it rains. Very volatile asset class.
