Is it worth flying abroad this summer with these surcharges? Thinking Korea

I've been wanting to take a short trip in August, but with the record surcharges I'm reconsidering. Europe or North America would be 65,000 yen one way just in surcharge, so that's out.

Korea is only 7,400 yen, which seems manageable. Has anyone here been to Busan? I'd love some tips, especially places that aren't too crowded in summer.
