FromSoftware delays Switch 2 exclusive The Duskbloods to 2027, with no month given

FromSoftware has delayed The Duskbloods, its Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, from 2026 to an unspecified date in 2027. GameSpot and Eurogamer reported the announcement on 29 October.

“We apologize to players who have been kindly awaiting the release of this title and thank you for your patience and support.” — FromSoftware, via GameSpot

GameSpot said the studio wants time to “further enhance” the game's core concepts, including combat, strategic depth and player expression, and quoted it: “We have decided to move the launch, allowing time for final adjustments to game rules and balancing.” It noted that 2027 is as specific as FromSoftware got.

Eurogamer described the game as Bloodborne meets Sekiro meets Dark Souls, “with jetpacks and dinos thrown in”, and confirmed it moves from its 2026 window. The delay means the game will no longer be part of the Switch 2's 2026 line-up.

How each outlet framed it

  • GameSpot — the studio's own words: the apology and the focus on balancing and rules.
  • Eurogamer — what the game is, for readers deciding how much the wait matters.

What we don't know yet: a release month. Neither FromSoftware nor Nintendo has given one, so it is not clear whether the game lands early or late in 2027.
