reality TV is the only honest TV left (hear me out)

scripted shows pretend they're not manipulating you. reality TV openly admits it's manipulating you, edits it in slow motion and adds dramatic music. that's honesty.

nobody watching love island thinks they're watching real life. everybody knows. we're all in on it together. that's more honest than half the 'prestige' dramas with a sad piano.

this is a joke but also i'm a bit serious. change my mind
