$160M domestic, $312M worldwide, 4,425 theatres. Biggest domestic opening of 2026 so far and the franchise record (Toy Story 4 was $120M).

The part I find more interesting is the A.V. Club caveat. Mario Galaxy took $372.5M globally but opened on a Wednesday in more places, so 'biggest opening of the year' depends on how you count. Disney picked the counting that suits Disney. Shocking.
