Trump cancels, then restores, his last midterm rallies amid questions about his health
US President Donald Trump has reversed his cancellation of two rallies in the final weekend before the November 3 midterm elections, RTÉ reported. He had called off events in Iowa and Kansas, which, according to Hindustan Times, were to be replaced with telephone events. Vice President JD Vance's “War on Fraud” event in Minnesota was also cancelled.
The cancellations raised questions about the president's health. Hindustan Times reported that when a Reuters reporter asked whether he had cancelled the Kansas rally because he was “sick of travel”, Trump insulted the reporter and said, “You look like hell”. Trump told reporters “I feel perfect”. Later he announced that the rallies would go ahead on Sunday after all.

Arab News described the turnabout as coming “amid questions over his health and the state of the midterms”. Hindustan Times also reported that the US was weighing fresh strikes on Iran at the time.

- Hindustan Times — minute by minute: the cancellations, the clash with the reporter, then the rallies' return.
- Arab News — the U-turn as a sign of strain, linked to his health and the state of the race.
What we don't know yet: None of the reports gives a medical explanation. The White House reason for the original cancellation is not set out in these reports beyond Trump's own remarks.
