Why do the Chios reports give such different context? Genuinely asking
I read the Chios collision post twice. AP puts the deaths next to allegations of pushbacks and tighter EU rules, Ada Derana walks through the coast guard's version step by step and mentions Pylos, and Proto Thema has the hospital detail, like nobody wearing a life jacket.
Here in Spain we see similar stories from the Canary route, and I notice the same thing: the facts are almost identical but the story feels completely different depending on what surrounds it. For those who read a lot of news, which kind of context do you actually find most useful? The wider political picture, or the local detail?
