Ortega: the numbers behind "no more elections"

Putting the figures from the news post in one place because I think they tell the story better than the speech.

In power since 2007. Wife Rosario Murillo made co-president last year. The 2018 crackdown killed more than 300 people. At least 46 political prisoners (NPR figure, denied by the government). More than 5,000 organisations closed since 2018. Vote due November 2027, now cancelled.

So the speech is not a surprise, it is the last step. My question for discussion: what can outside countries do that actually helps, and not only make statement?
