Al Jazeera, July 15: at least 9 killed the day before. Officials: 28 dead, 79 injured since June. About 4,000 police and paramilitary deployed.

Guardian, July 28: JAAC claims 25 killed on first day of voting, 5 more next day in Mirpur. 30 total. Not independently confirmed. Blackout.
