PS Plus February: the leak said Spider-Man 2, and State of Play confirmed it among 10 games

Sony confirmed its February line-up for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium during its 12 February State of Play, and it matched an earlier leak. The same day, India's Outlook Respawn reported that the insider billbil-kun, writing on Dealabs, had named three titles: Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown and Neva, all due on 17 February.

Push Square reported the full list: nine games in Extra and one in Premium, all available from Tuesday 17 February. Alongside the three leaked titles are Season: A Letter to the Future, Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, Venba, Echoes of the End: Enhanced Edition and Rugby 25. The Premium addition is the PS2 game Disney Pixar WALL-E.

“The reveal does indeed contain those three titles for a total of 10 games this month.” — Push Square

The show itself had been billed as running more than 60 minutes. Fullcleared, previewing it on 9 February, said it would cover third-party, indie and PlayStation Studios games, and noted Marathon's move to 5 March and Saros's 30 April date.

How each outlet framed it

  • Outlook Respawn — the leak, with Spider-Man 2 as “the crown jewel” of the month and a reminder of January's eight games.
  • Push Square — confirmation, game by game and platform by platform.
  • Fullcleared — the State of Play itself, with the author's own hopes for Naughty Dog's Intergalactic and the last Final Fantasy VII remake.
