does anyone actually trust "carbon neutral" coffee labels?

Asking as a barista. We've started getting beans with a little "carbon neutral" leaf on the bag. Nobody at the roaster could tell me what that means beyond "we buy offsets".

Is there a way to tell the real ones from the marketing? Or is it all a bit of a vibe?
